Johanna Stirling is the author of Teaching Spelling to English Language Learners which won a Special Commendation in the British Council Award for ELT Writing 2012. Based on Johanna's extensive experience of teaching English as a foreign language, this book explores spelling problems faced by learners and their teachers. It suggests a new methodology for teaching spelling and includes over 70 activities.Johanna also writes teaching materials for Cambridge University Press.When she isn't writing, you might find Johanna teaching at NILE (Norwich Institute for Language Education) in the UK or travelling around the world giving courses or workshops to teachers, often with Cambridge University Press.Johanna has a website for teachers and learners of English called The English Language Garden.
