John Bevis is a writer, poet and book artist living in London. His most recent title is 'Aaaaw to Zzzzzd: The Words of Birds,' a meditation and lexicon of bird song, which was the lead title in the MIT Press Autumn 2010 booklist. 'Direct From Nature,' about the work of the godfathers of bird photography, Richard and Cherry Kearton, was published by Colin Sackett in 2007. Poetry titles include 'Some Alternatives to Flock,' a collection of found poems and verse (Coracle, 2008), and 'From Furnace to Paradise... and Back: The Ironbridge Gorge in words by John Bevis and pictures by William Finnigan.'
