So... the first issue didn't do it for me, but the rest totally do. Djinn, Swamp Thing, and a whole buttload of Constantine. This is one of those rare series where I hate the main character, and love everything going on around them, and again - totally okay with that. Enough interesting things...
Interesting, though I think I would have enjoyed it more if I'd read it when it was new. The art is also great. I'm not sure I recommend this particular edition, though. It took me most of a year to read, not because of the nature of the content, but because this book weighs close to 6 pounds. So ...
Because, dear Primus, this was just so much. Matt has to save himself, even when he begs for help, and it damn near kills him. It should have; everyone thought it did. It will also, in retrospect, give him a chance to escape, to recoup, to heal himself. I can't even. I don't have the word...
There is no Matt Murdock; there is only The Beast of The Hand. And it's going to take all the heroes to save Matt, if he can be saved. (He can be. He continues on beyond this.) I think it's a testament to Matt how many people are willing to risk their lives to save him. He gets beaten down...
