He is a frequent speaker at academic and fan conferences and has been interviewed as a "Harry Potter expert" in the "Wall Street Journal," the "New York Times," CNN, and the DVD of "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." He and his wife, Mary, have seven children.

A fantastic collection of essays on Harry Potter and its connection to literature & the human condition. With two exceptions all of the essays are outstanding. One essay is so-so, & one I didn't read
