This play opens your eyes, it's a quick read but lovely at the same time. I would love to direct this show at some point in my life.

I seldom read plays and "Our Town" is a probably why. Despite the simplicity of its staging, it was altogether too difficult to follow without a stage or movie equivalent, even after a second reading decades later. You never lose sense that you're in a play with this book but in a good way. I read it either just before or just after a classmate did a monologue or scene involving Bunny. And that's all I can remember.

It isn't a play that tries to tell you anything, it's one that shares some odd/amusing/heartbreaking anecdotes and leaves it to you to ask and answer the questions. marvelous as a film, too.
