With a definitive finality to it, this comic series’ final volume has all the main characters and a fair amount of plot, moving along at a decent pace and proving to be entertaining. The artwork is relatively basic and colourful. I’m no great fan of this series but I enjoyed this book.
This was all told in Funko style; all the judges, the people, everyone looked like little Funkos. It was all tongue in cheek storytelling. IDW was having fun with them as Funko characters, how ridiculously cute it was, and just rolled with that. Loved this so much!
The premise behind this omnibus compilation of Chew is that Tony Chu is a cibopath – by eating something, he learns its history and all about it. He is hired by the FDA at a time when all chicken is banned due to a disastrous outbreak of avian flu. In this second volume of stories, he encounters a w...

I haven't seen Twilight Zone, so that might be one of the reasons why I believed this comic to be so confusing, and frankly not very good. I didn't like the story, and most of it was so weird, that about halfway through, I just lost interest. It was really not for me, but perhaps there are others wh...
Just Desserts is a lot more episodic than the previous two, more arc-based volumes, and therefore read as a lot more disjointed. Tony Chu is now dating Amelia Mintz, a food writer who is a Saboscrivner. She can write about food so accurately that people get an actual sensation of taste when reading ...
Chew is a truly strange comic book where a lot of the characters have abilities out of the ordinary with regards to food and drink. Tony Chu, our hero, is cibopathic. This means that he gets a psychic impression from everything he ingests. This can mean that he can picture the tree an apple came fro...
This is a good continuation of the series. A lot happens in this book, but since it is split between a bunch of characters, it doesn't feel like the overall plot moves that much. The same blood and sex stuff as the previous books, but still with interesting storylines and great characters.
My least favorite so far. While it is still not a bad graphic novel, this one was really chaotic and jumpy. It's been a while since I read Volume 3 so I was a little foggy on what happened, but Chu's daughter and sister really threw me off. Also the stories seemed random and unconnected. Still inter...
While there's a lot to this graphic novel, I'm gonna focus on my favorite part: Deadpool and his counterpart, Deathwish. See, when Spider-Man, Deadpool, and the Hulk get caught, and stuck in, an alternate dimension, everything seems amazing at first. The Spider is beloved by everyone, super pow...
