The first story in this volume has more of what I've come to expect from Morrison: fascinating, over the top weirdness with a weak storyline. Doom Patrol was one of the books that Grant Morrison made his name on, and it is so very Morrison. Really really good stuff. I wish there were more fringe dwelling superheroes like these out there.Almost thirty years on, this one is a lot of fun, in a twisted and meta kind of way.
