Unfortunately I’ve been ill for the last few weeks and in the brief periods I’ve been well I’ve been preparing for Nanaowrimo (national novel writing month), which I’m going to be participating in this year. I’m finally getting back to some semblance of normality, so I feel up to writing a review of...
Don't know how to rate this. Pretty hardcore. Some scenes still in my head.
Wow, fabulous master/slave story with more of a realistic feel. Told from Jaime's view as a cocky young hot guy who finds out how much he truly wants to submit to another and how Mr. Benson changes his life. If you don't mind or can get past the heavier aspects, such as the piss drinking fetishes a...
I can see why this is a classic. It's an enjoyable read but it's not literature. The author is good at what he does, creating a titillating read with out the frills. This book makes no apologies for what it is and manages to stand the test of time, which is unusual for many pulp books of that era.
Okay, this book isn't perfect. I have yet to read one that is. There are a few typos, but not enough to detract from the overall effect, which is what I base my ratings on.I'd heard so much about this cult classic, and the way it has been a forerunner for the genre, pre-empting many of the latter BD...

Ebook should be better I think. Since it would be more discreet wh...
Mr Benson by John Preston was possibly one of the most challenging books I’ve read in a while, but the depth of feeling, trust and sense of belonging was so worth the ride. I have to agree with a comment made to me about the latter parts of the book, which did end up a little bit like something out ...
[These notes were made in 1993:]. You would not have believed the silly song-and-dance I went through with myself to get a copy of this anthology of sexually explicit short fiction about gay men. Determined not to cross the threshold of Glad Day myself (why? would I turn into a pumpkin?) I dropped ...
