John Platt is an award-winning journalist, copywriter, fantasy & horror writer, poet and cartoonist. His short stories have appeared in more than two dozen anthologies around the world. John lives in a tiny fishing village on the coast of Maine, where he writes for Scientific American, Mother Nature Network, Conservation and other magazines. The International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) honored John with their Animal Action Award for his writing about endangered species, climate change, wildlife trafficking and related topics.
