John Seven is a writer and journalist living in Western Massachusetts with his wife, illustrator Jana Christy. Together, they are behind the controversial children's book A Rule Is To Break: A Child's Guide To Anarchy, and the punk rock counting book Happy Punks 123, as well as the multi-award-winning picture book The Ocean Story, the picture book comic A Year With Friends, and the upcoming biography of Frank Sinatra, Frankie Liked To Sing, from Abrams Books. Prior to their work together in picture books, the team was known for their cult comic book, Very Vicky. Seven's time travel adventure series, The Time Tripping Faradays, is available from Capstone Young Readers.​
