Meh. April is National Poetry Month, so I pulled this off the display. I don't mind that Agee's visual style is simple and cartoonish. I read this a few years ago and just didn't get it. My son picked this up during the last library visit, and I really enjoyed it. In 2008 gave it 2 starts, 2011 I'd give it 4, 2o I'll split the difference and rate it 3.

For someone like the PandaBatWolf, with a new interest in cartooning and illustration, seeing the styles of various popular and known-to-the-kid illustrators is great. And, the answers were funny, too.
