Jon Proctor grew up in an airline family and was involved in the industry for more than 30 years, working at one time or another for PSA, TWA, Pan Am and Saudia. He later became editor of Airliners Magazine. Jon resided in Illinois, California, New York, Connecticut, London. Now retired and living in northern Idaho, he enjoys researching aviation history and writing. He maintains a website - jonproctor.net - and also serves as a docent at the Bird Aviation Museum in Sagle, Idaho.
