Jonathan Morduch uses economic ideas to explore the frontiers of financial markets. His research has re-shaped understandings of how low-income families create financial lives, and what banks and others can do to extend financial markets to the under-served. He is Executive Director of the Financial Access Initiative at New York University, and a professor of public policy and economics at NYU's Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
