Anthology. I'm kind of (90%) over vampire books but there are a few authors that I love so I'm going to pick and choose what I want to read. I don't usually do this and try to give every story a try but like I said, I'm kind of done with vampires.I only read a few of the stories and I think overall ...

2.5*, rounded up. I didn't like: At the start of the trip, she decided to go take a bath in the river. One by herself, two without telling anyone where she was going, three bathing where there are reptiles that could kill her, etc! Got a brain? The kidnapping plot. Doesn't talk to her until la...
This book was borrowed specifically for Jaye Wells' Vampsploitation. This is a pretty good collection of different authors. Some of them I recognized and others which were new to me. I'm only going to mention the ones that really stood out and I enjoyed. The Murder King's Woman by Jamie Leigh Hans...

I'm no big fan of the straight Western - I was recently talking to a friend about the remake of True Grit, ...
This is one of the most consistently good anthologies I've read in a long time. There's not a single dud among these stories and I love the unique takes on vampire lore. Every one of these stories breaks out of the familiar vampire trope and explores some rather interesting new ideas. I say that the...
