Dr. Jörg Sydow is a Professor of Management at the School of Business & Economics of Freie Universität Berlin and a Visiting Professor at Strathclyde Business School, Glasgow. He has published widely and is a founding co-editor of two leading German journals, Management-forschung and Industrielle Beziehungen – The German Journal of Industrial Relations, as well as a member of the editorial boards of Organization Studies, Organization Science, Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management Studies and The Scandinavian Journal of Management. He was an International Visiting Scholar of the Advanced Institute of Management (AIM) Research in London and a Visiting Professor at, among others, the University of Arizona, Tucson, the University of New South Wales, and Columbia University, New York. His research was supported by third parties including the German Research Foundations (DFG), the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), the International Labour Office (ILO), several German ministries and foundations like Volks¬wagen, Hans-Böckler, and Bertelsmann.
