Joseph S. Nicholas is a longtime Nebraska resident born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Nicholas is a graduate from Bayard (Nebraska) High School, Western Nebraska Community College (Scottsbluff, NE), and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Nicholas attended post-graduate studies at Chadron State College (Chadron NE) and the University of Wyoming.The author created the Century Series novels beginning with Northern Deception which was released in May of 2011 with additional works, based on the fictitional Montana resort of Century, to follow. The genre of the Century Series is fictional/mystery with a flair of the mini-series.Nicholas resides in Gering, Nebraska with his wife Catherine. The couple are the parents of five siblings (Jolene, Susan, Joseph Jr., Linda, and Crystal) along with five grandchildren (Mark, Emily, Jul'ein, Delinda, and Gabriella).
