My most recent novel is A True History of the Captivation, Transport to Strange Lands, & Deliverance of Hannah Guttentag (Dzanc Books, 2012).My other novels are My Bright Midnight (LSU Press/Yellow Shoe Fiction, 2010), which earned me a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts and an Independent Publisher Book Awards bronze medal in literary fiction, and Yellow Jack, which was published by W.W. Norton in 1999, earned me a fellowship from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, was shortlisted for the Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers Award, and was translated into German.
