A coming of age story with a twist. At times funny and often pleasantly strange, this story still creates that heartache so familiar to fans of this kind of story.

I gave this book less than a day, and less than 50 pages. It seemed like it might be interesting, but the language was a bit too literary, and the narrative was difficult to follow between what was happening in his current life and what was happening in his journal.
