Joyce Cooper-Kahn, was born in Washington, D.C., and spent much of her first ten years on the grounds of the carnival owned by her parents and grandparents. She attributes some of her observing nature to the unique perspective she gained as a child.Now a clinical psychologist, she is the co-founder of Psychological Resource Associates, a private mental health practice in Severna Park, Maryland. Dr. Cooper-Kahn is the co-author of the award-winning book, Late, Lost and Unprepared: A Parent's Guide to Helping Children with Executive Functioning. That book introduced readers to her enthusiasm, expertise and straightforward guidance on ways to help youth with ADHD and executive functioning weaknesses.
