by Douglas Coupland
Very funny, particularly if you work in an office environment and can relate. Also fun to read and recognize the Vancouver locales.
I love this book. Its weird, and funny and completely out there. The characters have such unique conversations and get into situations that are completely strange, but that they accept as normal.

I enjoyed this book very much. All families are psychotic will forever be my favourite Coupland novel, but I was grinning and laughing through various parts of jPod and found myself nodding in agreement at several of the statements. Especially, the discourse on autism by Ehan’s girlfriend were quite...
This is the first book by Douglas Coupland I've read. I'm not sure what to make of his self-references... they kind of make me think Douglas Coupland is an asshole, but they were kind of funny too. I also didn't get all the bits of advertising/spam emails/etc throughout the book, but they were easy ...
I haven't much liked any Coupland book since [book:Generation X]. [book:Shampoo Planet] and [book:Microserfs] weren't too bad but the others? Boring. JPod slipped in some clumsy macabre black humour that didn't quite fit but Coupland as a character in the book, an unpleasant shyster who bargains the...
This was middle of the road as far as Coupland books go. People call it Microserfs 2.0. Since I loved Microserfs, I have to disagree. On one hand, as a computer programmer, I loved that part of the story. The other things I loved? Douglas Coupland portraying himself as a complete douchebag. Etha...
Was scared I'd be disappointed after I'd loved Microserfs. Don't really understand why Coupland felt the need to be a character in his own work, but hey ain't that postmodern. There are no limits everything can and will happen. Have yet to locate my phone number in the number sequels.
