To be honest, I'm not sure why I bought this. I saw it sitting on the shelf in the bookstore, and the next thing I knew, I was in the cash line. I'm sure there's some ironic statement about capitalism buried in there somewhere. Gaddis would have a field day with it, wouldn't he?
I just so badly want to shake these people, to tell them to SHUT UP for a second and listen. This book is amazing in it's execution, and the story might take me the rest of my life to finish puzzling out. I found that sometimes it made me feel frantic.
