Julie Anne Taddeo teaches British history at University of Maryland, College Park. Her love of British culture, history, and literature began as a child watching Masterpiece Theatre with her mother and devouring Victorian novels. She has written about the Bloomsbury Group, Victorian sexuality, Anne Perry's detective fiction, and Reality TV. Her most recent publications include edited collections on British TV costume dramas (Rowman & Littlefield 2014); the British author Catherine Cookson (Ashgate 2012); and critical essays on the neo-Victorian phenomenon known as Steampunk (Scarecrow 2012).
