Anthology. I'm kind of (90%) over vampire books but there are a few authors that I love so I'm going to pick and choose what I want to read. I don't usually do this and try to give every story a try but like I said, I'm kind of done with vampires.I only read a few of the stories and I think overall ...
Even though the book was a gift from a friend I let this lie on my bookshelf for years, reluctant to pick it up. The title, the cover and back blurb made this sound like hundreds of other urban fantasies complete with vampires. I was wrong. First, look ma, no vampires. Now, don't get me wrong, I r...
A complicated story of horror and strange people and powers. All about an evil that's been hidden for years and now is going to come back and about a group of people trying to fight it. It's more in the horror than the urban fantasy end of things and not really to my taste. Not a bad read but it ...

Because the original blog post detailing what happened has been taken down, I can only go by hearsay. Apparently in later anthology, one of the authors wanted to include a homosexual love story and ...
1.5 stars to The Assassin's Apprentice by Michelle Zink. Overall I felt the story was unsatisfying. You were dumped into the story with an unclear setting and limited characterization. The story also did not meet the "paranormal love" element in my opinion since that was out of NOWHERE and weak. A s...
This book was borrowed specifically for Jaye Wells' Vampsploitation. This is a pretty good collection of different authors. Some of them I recognized and others which were new to me. I'm only going to mention the ones that really stood out and I enjoyed. The Murder King's Woman by Jamie Leigh Hans...
I've only read Jaye Wells story as of yet and that's what the rating reflects.I really enjoyed the SS. It was fast paced and gave a small taste of Sabina's life.
