K. C. Hanson (MA and PhD, Claremont Graduate School) is a biblical scholar, author, and editor in chief at Wipf and Stock Publishers. He has taught at several colleges, universities, and seminaries, including California State University at Long Beach, Claremont School of Theology, and St. Olaf College. For 7 years he was biblical studies editor at Fortress Press (Minneapolis, MN). In edition to coauthoring Palestine in the Time of Jesus (with Douglas E. Oakman), he has edited and translated several other works, including Hermann Gunkel, Israel and Babylon; Andre LaCocque, Ruth; and the series Fortress Classics in Biblical Studies.
