K Callan was born in Dallas, Texas where she attended and later taught in Catholic school. An actress from an early age, she studied Speech and Drama at North Texas State University (now Texas University at Denton) and worked at Dallas' world famous Margo Jones Theatre before studies at The Pasadena Playhouse and later at HB Studios in New York with Herbert Berghof. Mother to three, grandmother to four, Callan is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Television Academy of Television Arts and Sciencess and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Screen Actors Guild.Her resume is long and varied (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0130282/).
