This was a pleasant story, wrapping up plot threads from the first book. I liked that Merrick found love too. This introduced Jonah who gets his own story (and that promises to be interesting). This was well paced for the length. I enjoyed reading about Stephen working a case with Lucien. This particular case affects them personally, because Merrick is one of the victims. Also learned that Merrick [spoiler] was married and his wife died in childbirth. [/spoiler]
