This book was heading towards a fairly respectable three star rating--not great but not bad-until the last few pages and the following line: ...he entered her like a sword in a sheath. And when I lost it the book lost half a star. I guess this explains the blood on the sheets on the wedding ni...

It wasn't that it was a bad story, just not my cup of tea. I like my stories a little more plot heavy while this was more a string of random encounters.

I think... if the book just had the Hannah Howell story, I'd have rated it higher. The other tales were...interesting. Not great, not terrible, and not exactly anything I'd follow if they were part of a series.

Jo Beverley's story is surprisingly good, very sweet (in a good way). Anna the heroine is just delightful, and believable as a rather precocious 16 year-old. 4 stars. Also read Vanessa Kelly's story but it wasn't nearly as good as Beverley's - 2 stars.
