Rosemary Rodgers hooked me on romance with 'Sweet Savage Love'. I consumed books after that until I decided I wanted to try my hand at writing. Not as easy as it looks! But I'd found my niche. I instinctively knew this is what I wanted to do.It didn't take me long to discover how things worked in the publishing world. You write a book, you mail it off, you get rejected, you write another book. I did this for six years until one day I talked my husband into mailing my manuscript for me. I couldn't take one more look of pity from the postal workers. Being the loving husband that he is, Karl mailed Bachelor Party to Hilary Sares at Kensington to be considered for the Precious Gem line on a Tuesday. On Friday of that same week, Hilary called to offer a contract. Wow! Wouldn't it be great if everything in life was that easy? Publishing can be a rocky road with lots of highs and lows but, oh, what a fun trip! I love writing. When I'm not writing, I love doing crafts, and I'll try just about anything. At present, I'm scrapbooking and making necklaces. The necklaces are amateur at best but I'm hoping to improve over time. We'll see :) I'm country all the way. I love antiques, embroidered scarves, crocheted doilies and quilts. I met the love of my life when we were kids, we married when we were still just kids even though everyone said it wouldn't last. That was almost 44 years ago and Karl is still my very best friend. We have 2 fabulous children who married fabulous people and gave us four wonderful grandchildren that we can spoil--then return to the peace and quiet of our home.

Close Encounters Of The Sexy Kind is my first book by Karen Kelley. I don't usually pick anything sci-fi when choosing books, but something about this one caught me. So glad I downloaded it. Ms Kelley has delivered a book that is part paranormal, part romance and 100% fun. This book is well-writ...

So I was surprised at how much I liked this. It was hilarious! I laughed my ass off so many times. The humor is anywhere from cringe-worthy to just plain stupid (but so stupid it's funny). There was Mala telling everyone (literally everyone) she's having sex with Mason to the "documentary" (porn fil...

15/6 - I was a little disappointed with this. I was hoping it would be back up to the calibre of the first book in the series, Where There's Smoke, which I gave a solid four stars to, instead it was only as good as #2 Where There's a Will, which only managed a wobbly three stars.Chance, hero of the ...

6/12 - This could have been a five star book, except for two things - a complete lack of characterisation of Ryder and, after numerous sex scenes Hayley's constant refrain of "this is sinful, this is wrong, what would mother/Rachel think" got pretty tedious. We learn almost nothing about Ryder exc...

After spending her 26 years of life being "bad," as Destiny Carter puts it, she died in 1959. As she lay dying a demon offered to take away all her pain and give her everything she never had while she was alive. Of course she agreed. That's what leads us to the beginning of Where There's Smoke.Se...
