Karen T. Bartlett is an award-winning travel journalist and photographer, the author of nine destination coffee table books, two destination guidebooks for children, and editor and/or contributor to several others. She spent 16 years as Travel Editor of Gulfshore Life, a luxury lifestyle magazine covering the resort region of Naples, Fort Myers, Sanibel, Captiva and Marco Islands, Florida, and as a frequent contributor to several top North American and Caribbean publications, including The Toronto Star and Caribbean Travel & Life. Karen has explored some of the most fascinating places on earth. She earned her reindeer driver license in Lapland, dined on live termites in Venezuela's Orinoco Delta, went deep sea fishing with a U.S. president, and once was interrogated in South Africa for traveling with a Zulu spear. She is a member of SATW, the Society of American Travel Writers, and ASMP, the American Society of Media Photographers. In 2014, Bartlett established her own publishing company, Mostly Kids Guides, LLC. The first book in the imprint, "A (mostly) Kids' Guide to Naples, Marco Island & The Everglades," was introduced in February 2015.
