In the first photo I'm in front of my office in Palo Alto Califorinia where I practice patent law---something I've done since 1978. I have my hand on my Bentley Flying Spur, as I'm a car lover, and I'm wearing my favorite pair of Donald Pliner shoes---I also enjoy unusual shoes. In the second photo I'm in the Batu caves in Kuala Lumpur with a Hindu priest Dec. 2011. I also enjoy exploring new and interesting places around the would.I've written legal articles in the past, but Cardinal Hoax is my first novel. Although I've practiced patent law in Washington, D.C. and Tokyo, Japan (where my daughter was born) the majority of my career has been in the San Francisco bay area, and that's the setting for Cardinal Hoax.
