Kate Davis is the Director of Raptors of the Rockies educational program, founded in 1988, and she keeps 18 birds of prey at the facilities at facilities at her home in Western Montana. She is also an artist, photographer, and author of five books. Raptors of the West Captured in Photographs is the winner of the 2011 National Outdoor Book Award and Montana Book of the Year. Bald Eagle Nest hit the stands in January 2013, packed with 134 photos and the story of a family that raised four young. Her latest is American Kestrel: Pint-sized Predator, another collaboration with photographer Rob Palmer and a chapter from The Peregrine Fund, American Kestrel Partnership. Gotta love a kestrel!
