Old fashioned eco-feminist wish fulfilment. The writing is not bad but not impressive either imo. And then there's the bit about "double star"...
Although I much prefer the Brits for murder mysteries, this was quite servicable. Much less broadly drawn and overwrought than some lesbian fiction tends to be.

While I enjoyed the book, i found it very dated. If I would have read it when I came out, just a few years after the book, I probably would have loved it.
