A lifelong lover of nature and art, Kathleen Rietz was 
drawing and painting before she learned to write her name. A native of Illinois, she spent her childhood exploring creeks and fields, and working on art projects to keep her creative mind and hands busy. Kathleen's illustrated books 
include "Prairie Storms", the award winning "Champ's Story: Dogs Get Cancer Too!", "Little Black Ant on Park Street", the multi-award winning "The ABC's of Yoga for Kids" and "Prayers for Children", as well as scholastic readers and text books. She taught art to children and adults at the Community School of the Arts at historic Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. With a love for creating all types of art, Kathleen also expresses herself through fine art, which is collected internationally.
