Kathy McClure, a graduate of U.C. Berkeley, has spent most of her adult life in the business world; computer consulting, finance, and database design. She lives in Santa Cruz, CA and adores the ocean, hiking in the redwoods and studying genealogy but her real love is writing. Her first book, Amoret, is the story of her Mormon grandmother who died when she was twenty-eight, leaving four young children. Her second book, titled Houses - The Framing of a Life is a memoir about her teenage and young adult years in the tumultuous 60's. She has published a short book of poetry and pictures, Nature More, dedicated to her love of Santa Cruz. She is currently writing a novel based on the life of Eliza Poe, Edgar Allan Poe's mother.Kathy is the owner of Seashore Press, a publishing company dedicated to helping writers self publish and market their books.
