Katie Farris is the author of boysgirls, as well as the co-translator of several books of poetry from the French and the Russian. Her translations and original work have been published in many literary journals, including Virginia Quarterly Review, Triquarterly, Hayden's Ferry, and others. She received her MFA in Literary Arts from Brown University in 2010, where she focused primarily on experimental and short-form fiction. She teaches at San Diego State University, where she enjoys sharing her passion for international literatures, including fairy tales and mythology from around the world, and the writing of fiction.
