Long before her name became recognized with the mystery/suspense novels, Katie Johnson was working 80 hours a week at a small Arkansas firm squeezing in time before going into the office to work on her hobby -- writing her first novel. She was born in 1953 in the South to a farmer and part time accountant/homemaker. Katie Johnson dreamed as a child of becoming a first grade teacher because she loved small children and wanted to give them the knowledge that no one could ever take from them.One day while sitting in on a mock trial at Louisiana State University where she attended college, Katie heard the horrific testimony of a child. She wanted to explore the possibility that the older brother was the murderer. This was the inspiration for her novel writing.Katie has recently come out with her first Children's Book, Dragon Cookies and a sequel to follow the first week of November.Her hobbies are fishing, camping, football, movies and most anything in the outdoors.
