Not so silly that I stopped reading it, but pretty damn close. It was the way they treated the whole "mistress" thing, like it was a job position. It was really absurd.
For the sake of last scene of book I gave it 4 stars.
There is something very distinct and elegant about Caitlin Crews' writing that appeals to me. I noticed that in her first book for HP, Pure Princess, Bartered Bride, and it was evident here as well. I liked the strength of her heroine in Tristanne. She was afraid, she was wounded emotionally, but ...
