Kerry is the author of the forthcoming The Coming Waves: Science and Stories from a Rising Sea, and the director of Sol Editions (http://soleditions.net). He is a national award-winning writer, a former editor and creative director for Mother Jones, and the former editor-in-chief of California magazine, which under his leadership was selected by Folio as the best association magazine in America in 2007 and 2008. He recently collaborated with Lisa Gansky on The Mesh: Why the Future of Business is Sharing, a Wall Street Journal business bestseller. Kerry also co-founded and directed the International Fund for Documentary Photography, has curated photo exhibitions here and abroad, and co-wrote two books on photography, most recently Wayne F. Miller: Photographs 1942-1958 (Powerbooks 2008). He is an Associate of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at UC Davis and the media advisor to the Cal Design Lab at UC Berkeley.
