Khadijah Queen is the author of Conduit (Black Goat/Akashic Books 2008) and Black Peculiar (2011), which won the Noemi Press book award for poetry and was a finalist for the Gatewood Prize at Switchback Books. She has performed her work nationally and internationally, and since 2008 has curated the multi-genre reading series Courting Risk.
