I still really like this book. Annabel is a strong women such that you rarely seen in romance novels. Not that there are not novels with strong women, in fact there are a plethora. But Annabel is special in that in every bit as self assured as she is, its there to hide her self-conscious desire for ...

Ewan asking Annabel to marry him when he first meets her was a cute scene. I give major kudos to the author to be able to make Annabel likeable. Annabel is singularly driven to marry a rich man and could just be written off as a gold digger but the author gives background story here and there on how...

Regency romance. Humor. Scandal. Scotland. Smut. More humor. Interesting supporting characters. Lots of fun!If I don't take notes, I forget the plot of these a few days later. I'm at peace with that.Checked this one out of the library straight to my Kindle.

If I was very impressed by the first novel in the Essex sisters series, sadly, the second one fell flat for me. Which is a pity, as this one uses the theme from Shakespeare's play, The Taming of the Shrew, but unfortunately, this one just couldn't make it. Where there was convincing background drawn...
