This book is really weirdly structured. The first half is Anita working a vampire execution case. Just her and RPIT putting bullets in vampires and talking. That's it. The second half is her going home and ruminating on her love life and having lots of sex. Then, jarringly, there is a life threateni...

With the Mother of All Darkness gone, sucked down the drain like a swirly, Laurell Hamilton is now struggling to find a story arc for this series, something to pad out the pages of her fantasy life between the sexual olympics. Before anyone gets too excited about the outline, remember what series th...

I loved this series in the beginning, but it's moved so far from what it began as. I'm disappointed and have been for awhile. I'm so tired of Anita humping everyone. It's just boring. I think I'm finished with Anita Blake.

They're 21 of these? I thought there were only 20! WTF? I'm not going to survive. Time to go write my will.Title predictions: When in doubt, go with the necrophilia!
Housewife Blues and Chihuahua Stories
Despite having reservations after reading reviews it was an enjoyable installment in the never ending drama that is the story surrounding character Anita Blake. The soul searching that she seems to be wrestling with may mean that Anita is finally coming to grips with understanding her lifestyle an...

I picked up an ARC of AFFLICTION, and at the first mention of an American Vampire Counsel, I decided I must have missed something in KISS THE DEAD. Of course, coming back to read KISS THE DEAD, I soon realized that I hadn't "missed something" so much as "forgotten stuff".Having just recently re-rea...

There was a time when I would read a new hamilton on the day it arrived at my bookstore for me. She was the author that introduced me to the "urban fantasy/paranormal romance" genres that I have enjoyed so much these last few years, and the blend of sex, violence, crime and a touch of actual romance...

*head-desk*And Hit List made me hopeful. I should have known better. As a review I once read stated, LKH "tends to take one step forward, two orgies back." It was too much to hope for 2 good books in a row.I'm not sure where to start. Like so many others, the book started out very interesting. ...

Anita is back again and the first police scene, she's wearing some kind of smexy unprofessional nail polish, a short skirt and Mary-Jane style stiletto heels. Yes, Nathaniel dressed her again and she's looking like stripper rather than a US Marshall. Guess this is what happens when a 23 year old ...
