This may be my last in the series. With the exception of my growing fondness for Lena, I don't care for any of the other characters and there are a few to whom I would like to see bad things happen. This story was much harder for me to read than the first. The subject matter is one that I have a p...

I'm not sure where to begin. I don't want to say I liked the story, because it's horrifying and it's like walking out of the movies having seen "The Silence of the Lambs" and saying "Wow what a great movie." Here's the thing. I was engaged but there were things that bothered me about this story ...

I found this to be well written with compelling characters but the plot was not something I really cared to read about and some of the scenes were a bit too graphic for my tastes.

Okay.Subject of book, surprised me. They always do on this subject and instantly turn my stomach.Favorite character goes to : Hank. (You rock man! Love that he wears hawaiian shirts, and can still whip an emotionally distraught, downard spiraling abused female into shape and be loving at the same ti...

I don't like the characters in this series nearly as much as I do those in the Will Trent books, and when the characters aren't as good, the plot holes are more of a problem. I think, mostly, that I don't like Lena. And I prefer Will to Jeffrey. And I would like Karin Slaughter to reevaluate her "wo...

I liked the book even though I think it was a bit dragged out in some areas. A bit too much back story from the previous book about the characters. The ending was a little bit of a disappointment too. I prefer solid endings, with nothing left hanging. Lots of profanity too. Glad it wasn't an audiobo...

This is my first Karin Slaughter book. It was quite gripping and hard hitting. The story slowly, but naturally, evolved into gut wrenching scenario of child exploitation that I didn't see coming. It took me aback somewhat. It was hard to read in some parts because of that fact, and yet, it was well ...

2.5 stars. I'm not sure what I think of this series. On the one hand, I started the book yesterday, stayed up too late reading it, and finished it this morning. So it must have kept me interested, right? The main thrust of the story involved a child pornography ring and a couple of really bad pe...

This was the second book in Slaughter's Grant County series, and another good ride. Back are all of the characters from book one, Sara, Jeffrey, Lena, Uncle Hank, and Tessa. In addition, there were some new characters that were totally enthralling as far as characters in a thriller go. I think my...
