I usually don't rate manga on goodreads (I read so many waaayy before I made an account, so I can't be bothered), so I'm just going to rate the first volume and make it count for the rest.I loved this manga, it was one of the first I read.
I have loved Kitchen Princess from the first volume, and the ending didn't disappoint me. I loved the main cast of characters, and how they grew over the course of the series. The romance was very sastifying, sweet and believable, and I think Daichi and Najika would be a very happy couple. This has ...
I think I may love Kitchen Princess a little more with every passing volume. It's really all about the characters. I love that nobody seems to be totally irredeemable, even Daichi and Sora's father. I do get why he hated Najika so much, and the rest of his actions become a lot clearer in this volume...
I ended up really loving Akane in this volume. It takes a lot of guts for her to honestly tell Daichi her feelings and get an honest answer from him, and I really admired her for her reaction. She's come a long way as a character, and it's been done very realistically.
I love Kitchen Princess for its art, but mostly for the sweet and earnest characters, especially Najika. I also like the ongoing rehabilitation of former mean girl, Akane. It's still a work in progress, but I like that it is happening. The last chapter in this volume was a bit of a tear-jerker. As a...

Kitchen Princess starts out fun and mostly fluffy, like volume one. The love parallelogram between Najika, Daichi, Sora, and Akane is still developing, and Akane is still the mean girl. But then the story veers into much more serious territory, introducing an eating disorder storyline. What surprise...
Kitchen Princess has a romance plot that is similar to so many other romance manga that I won't even try to list them all. That's ok. What makes Kitchen Princess enjoyable is the execution. Najika is sweet, and I love her passion for cooking. (Isn't it nice to read a romance plot where the girl is p...
