I could happily have skipped this episode of Kitty. I felt a little like I'd entered the Underworld myself and mostly, I just wanted to leave. "Kitty In The Underworld" starts well, with Kitty enjoying her life and me enjoying listening to her interview a Vampire stripper on "The Midnight Hour". ...
Last month I read Kitty Rocks the House and unfortunately, it didn't rock my house. It felt more like a filler book or a transitional book. In a startling contrast, this book took me by the hand at the beginning and just wouldn't let me go till the very end. I couldn't believe how fast I was able t...
I haven't read a Kitty Norville Book in five years. I for the life of me I couldn't remember why I stopped following her. So when Kitty and the Underworld fell into my lap...well you know. Kitty gets abducted by a group trying to achieve the same goal as Kitty's Allies but they go about it totally w...
If the last couple of books were the start of this series, I probably wouldn't have continued. That being said, I really like Kitty and her pack. They are interesting and fun to read about. This entry? Not so much. Like the last one, NOTHING MUCH HAPPENS. Kitty in the Underworld has the distinction ...
Meh. Most of the plot is listed in the book description, made the first 3/4 of the book pretty boring to read, since I knew everything that was coming. Last 1/4 of the book was pretty predictable (and anti-climatic). Hoping the next Kitty installment is much better!
I'm noticing an odd trend with me and the Kitty series. I seem to really like every third book. It's sort of like the Star Trek movie thing (even numbers = good). I have no idea why, but this book did not break the trend. Kitty in the Underworld brought the focus in on a very specific plot, and that...
It all started with a lion, a were, a witch and an ancient vampire.Kitty gets herself were napped and discovers her captures are a rag tag group of delusional cultists. Or are they ? They drug her, cage her, treat her like a wild creature keeping her away from her pack and her life. She only wants t...
Usually I enjoy Kitty stumbling around trying to figure the best way out of a situation thrust upon her. This time, however, I was quite frustrated with her. She became stuck in a situation in where she was the one with the greatest amount of knowledge but with the least amount of influence. I don't...
This installment is much better than the last one. The plot flows better; there is a sense of peril, the Long Game story arc moves along. It even makes me not get upset about the seemingly step back with Hardin. In a fantasy novel about a werewolf that is peppered with humor, Vaughn also raises so...
