Kristopher White is the co-founder of Emerging Civil War. He is also a historian for the Penn-Trafford Recreation Board and a continuing education instructor for the Community College of Allegheny County near Pittsburgh, PA. White is a graduate of Norwich University with a M.A. in Military History, as well as a graduate of California University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in History. For nearly five years he served as a staff military historian at Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park. For a short time he was a member of the Association of Licensed Battlefield Guides at Gettysburg.He serves as the chief historian of Emerging Civil War and the Emerging Civil War Series. White is also the co-editor of the Engaging the Civil War Series, which is a partnership between Southern Illinois University Press and Emerging Civil War. He also is the editor of the revamped Civil War Regiments Series, which offers balanced, in-depth military coverage of all theaters of the American Civil War.
