Like Sweet Valley High, I read MANY of the BSC books, but am too lazy to mark them all. Thus, they are all entertaining and good reading material for elementary/middle school girls.

With Kristy's Great Idea, Ann M. Martin sets up the premise of The Baby-sitters Club, a series that spanned two decades, produced eleven different spin-offs and sub-series, and spawned a 13-episode television show and a movie. There's a lot ofBSC stuff, is what I'm saying; and if you're looking to g...

A friend of mine introduced me to these books, and I remember I was in a book club type thing, and got a new book each month. I loved these girls and their lives, and adventures. Not one of my favourite BSC books. I didn't care much for the pet-sitting incident, and found Kristy was absolutely insufferable in her behaviour towards Watson. But then, until Abby came along, Kristy was my least favourite character.

I was never as fanatical about this series (only read a handful) as some of my friends, BUT I definitely enjoyed those I did read. It's a perfectly fine series for young girls and I just discovered that Ann M. Martin is still writing about the Baby-Sitters ([b:The Summer Before|6817038|The Summer B...
