Read the first "book", didn't really enjoy it. I found it hard to keep track of what was going on and wasn't given any reason to care about any of the characters. Not going to be reading the rest.

Epic, gritty combination of swords and sorcery, military and noir fiction. This series is one of my all time favorite fantasy series.I found Cook's writing style to be sparse and to the point, it made me want to keep reading.
