This was a fast paced, enjoyable book. An interesting twist near the end. Although it has a sequel, for some reason, I feel that the first book was close to a stand alone with a sequel transition thrown in at the end. I don't feel like I will just die if I don't read the sequel right away.

The Scarlet Dagger started off really slow for me . I mean i really wanted to get into the story from page 1 but that sort of never happened . But that does not mean that the book was'nt an entertaining read at all . After this one particular point the story actually starts to get really interesting...
