Read via Gutenberg.Oddly I know of this Baum book's plot thanks to a comic book. (Since this is back in the 70s it was definitely a comic book and not a graphic novel.) 2.5 stars I think this book would be much more entertaining to younger children. It's ok for adults and I'm glad I read it, since I've never read any of the Oz books, but I do think the series suffers in comparison to the Harry Potter universe.
