I really enjoy Grace Burrowes writing style. This book had things I liked: I liked Maggie and Ben. I liked that Maggie was smart and built her own fortune. Of course it also had things I didn't and they were enough to keep this from being a 4-5 star read. This is my last favorite of the Windham...

I liked Maggie a lot, which put this book a notch above the sisters' stories.See my review of the series at http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/240638362.

2 ½ StarsThis book was a 3 ½ Stars until the last scene, when it lost 1 star for something Maggie did/said. I can't say more without giving spoilers away.

Lady Maggie is supposed to be a financial genius and a decisive, strong woman, but these sides of her were never really shown, just told. In fact, other than her hiring of the hero to retrieve her missin...

With that soft, slightly anxious look in his dark eyes he’d broken rules and commandments and equivalent of papal bulls issued by Maggie’s common sense and countersigned by her instinct for self-preservation.A slow start (good lord, just LOOK for the stupid reticule, already, sheesh) that evolves in...

I usually hate coming in in the middle of a series, but this book just happened to be in my vicinity when nothing else was, and I read it anyways. I really enjoyed it: it fit a lot of standard regency romance conventions, but somehow managed to make them seem new. I think a lot of it had to do wit...
